Artistic Foundations: Early and Intermediate Art

3:00-4:00 PM

This is a technique and exploration focused class especially for 4th-7th graders. Meeting for 45 minutes in the afternoon after school each week, students will explore a variety of artistic techniques and materials while learning about creating through the seven elements of art. Each week will focus on a specific art technique and artist example. The goal of this class is to give students the chance to gain technical skill in a variety of mediums, and learn about artists through creating.

Theater Production
  • This is an engaging, performance-based class for students in 7th–12th grade who are eager to explore acting, stagecraft, and storytelling. Meeting for one hour each afternoon after school during the spring semester, students will develop skills in character development, voice projection, stage presence, memorization, and collaborative performance. Through rehearsals, workshops, and guided coaching, students will grow in confidence, creativity, and teamwork as they prepare for a full theatrical production to be performed in April. Rooted in a biblical worldview, the course emphasizes integrity, discipline, and meaningful storytelling, encouraging students to use drama as a powerful tool for communicating truth, beauty, and insight. Maximum of 20 students.
